Between full haircuts
The In Between
Bath, brush out, nails, ears, teeth, and a tidy of face, feet, pads and sanitary areas.
Chapter 01
When the cut still holds but the dog is due
The In Between is for the dog whose haircut still holds but whose body does not. Maybe it was clipped five weeks ago and the shape is fine, yet the coat is dull, the nails click on the floor, and the face and feet have fuzzed back in. Nothing is wrong. The dog is simply due, and a full haircut would be more than the coat needs.
It is also the right visit when you want a good cut to last longer. Regular baths and brush outs keep tangles from turning into mats, which is far easier on the dog than dematting after the fact. At Raleigh Grooming Co. the matting policy is Humanity before Vanity, and a coat that is kept brushed between haircuts is one less hard conversation at drop off.
Be clear on what it is not. The In Between is not a full body haircut: the body coat is bathed, brushed out and left at its current length. If the coat has outgrown its shape, book a Contour Trim or a Full Haircut instead.

What is included, in order
The visit begins with a bath and a brush out, the same start every groom gets on Louisburg Road. Then come the parts of grooming that tend to get skipped at home: nails, ears and teeth, handled on the same visit so you cross them off in one stop.
After that comes the trim, which is limited to the face, feet, pads and sanitary areas. Those are the spots that matter most between haircuts. Hair over the eyes blocks the view, hair between the pads makes floors slippery and collects debris, and hair around the sanitary area stays cleaner when it is kept short.
Plan on 2 to 4 hours, depending on what your dog needs, and note that the salon is open Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Rabies vaccination is required. Hannah, a Fear Free stylist and former licensed vet tech, lists skin and coat care among her specialties, and Mary, the receptionist, is described on the team page as the friendly face of the salon.
Chapter 03
The In Between prices by weight, and how often to come back
The In Between is priced by your dog's weight, and each figure is a starting at price. Up to 15 lbs starts at $65, 16 to 25 lbs at $70, 26 to 35 lbs at $75, 36 to 45 lbs at $80, 46 to 55 lbs at $90, 56 to 70 lbs at $95, 71 to 90 lbs at $100, and 91 lbs and up at $105.
The estimate depends on coat type, length and condition, so a thick coat that needs extra brushing time can come in above the starting figure. To talk through your dog before booking, call the front desk in Raleigh at (984) 326-2790.
Many owners fit one of these in between full haircuts, every few weeks, and a dog with a short, easy coat may not need as many. If a visit shows the coat has grown past a tidy, the groomer will tell you, and the next booking can be a Contour Trim or a Full Haircut.
“The front desk staff was very kind and even sent me text messages with updates on how he was doing there.” Angelina Delgado, 5-star Google review.
