A first visit for puppies 3 to 7 months
Puppy Intro Trim
For puppies 3 to 7 months: a gentle first visit, not a full body haircut, at the salon on Louisburg Road in Raleigh.
Chapter 01
Why a first visit is not a full haircut
The Puppy Intro Trim is for puppies from 3 to 7 months old, and it is deliberately not a full body haircut. The first appointment is about the table, the dryer, the brush and the people. A puppy that meets all of that gently is a dog that walks back through the door at Raleigh Grooming Co. wanting to come in, and building that kind of relationship is what the salon says it sets out to do.
We recommend at least two puppy trims before a full haircut. That gives a young dog repeat visits to get used to the whole process, so the full haircut is not the first thing it ever experiences on Louisburg Road. Your puppy leaves clean, brushed out and neatly tidied, and you leave with a dog who already knows the room.

Exactly what the visit covers
Each Puppy Intro Trim includes a bath, a blow out and brush out, trimming around the eyes and face, a tidy of the feet and pads, a tidy of the sanitary areas, a nail trim, ear cleaning and teeth brushing. It is the same careful routine an adult dog gets, scaled to a puppy's size and patience.
The rules at the door are the same for every dog. Your puppy comes in on a leash, and a rabies vaccination is required for every groom. You can email the record to the salon ahead of time or bring it at drop off. Grooming is by appointment, and the salon cannot accept a dog more than 15 minutes late.
One Raleigh owner described her own young dog's first groom this way: “My puppy is only 4 months old and has tons of energy, and she still managed to give him a PERFECT full body bath and grooming!” She added that “The front desk staff was very kind and even sent me text messages with updates on how he was doing there.”
Chapter 03
Price, and what the next visits look like
The Puppy Intro Trim runs from $65 up to $85. That is a starting-at estimate from the salon's own booking page, and the final price depends on your puppy's coat type, length and condition. The front desk talks it through with you at drop off.
After the intro, most puppies move on to one of two visits. The In Between keeps the bath, brush out, nails, ears and teeth and the tidy of the face, feet, pads and sanitary areas, without a full body haircut. The Full Haircut is the complete cut in the style you ask for. Both are priced by weight, and both have their own pages below.
