For coats that need washing, not cutting
Bath
A full bath and dry for coats that only need washing, not cutting, at the salon on Louisburg Road in Raleigh.
Chapter 01
When a bath is enough, and when the coat needs cutting
A bath is the right visit for the dog whose haircut is still fresh, or whose coat was never meant to be cut in the first place. If your dog is somewhere between haircuts and simply needs to be clean, soft and brushed out, a bath at Raleigh Grooming Co. is the lighter appointment. It also suits many double coats, where the goal is to wash, dry and loosen the undercoat rather than take length off.
Shedding season is where a bath earns its keep. A full wash and a proper blow out lift loose coat that a brush at home leaves behind, and the deshedding package can be added to the visit when the undercoat is heavy. A bath is not a substitute for a haircut, though. If your doodle or poodle is tangled, matted or growing past where you like it, the coat needs cutting, and any dematting can carry a fee.
The salon's policy on that is Humanity before Vanity, and it is talked through with you at drop off. Not sure which visit your dog needs? Call (984) 326-2790 with your dog's breed and weight, and the front desk can point you to the right one.

How a bath day runs on Louisburg Road
Grooming is by appointment, Monday to Friday, and every dog comes in on a leash with a current rabies vaccination on file. You can email the paperwork ahead of time or bring it at drop off. Emma, the salon's bathing assistant, washes and dries pups on arrival, and the dog is then blown out and brushed out before pick up.
Plan your day around the time. Grooming can take 2 to 4 hours depending on the needs of your dog, and dogs are never in the salon's care for more than 5 hours. The salon closes at 4:30 PM, so pick up 15 minutes before close to avoid a late pick-up fee.
A few add-ons exist for the coat in front of you: a coconut conditioner, the deshedding package, pad and nose balm and nail grinding. Medicated shampoo is only used when it has been prescribed and provided by you. Add-on prices are not listed here, so ask the front desk when you book. One Raleigh client wrote that “Their communication was excellent before and during the appointment which I really appreciated.”
Chapter 03
Bath prices by your dog's weight
These are starting prices from the salon's own booking page, set by weight. Starting at $50 for up to 10 lbs, $60 for 11 to 20 lbs, $65 for 21 to 30 lbs, $70 for 31 to 40 lbs, $75 for 41 to 50 lbs, $80 for 51 to 65 lbs, and $85 for 66 lbs and up.
Every figure is an estimate. The final price depends on your dog's coat type, length and condition, and the front desk goes over it with you at drop off. If the coat needs a tidy as well as a wash, the In Between adds nails, ears, teeth and a trim of the face, feet, pads and sanitary areas to the bath, starting at $65.
Book online through the salon's booking page, or call (984) 326-2790. The salon is at 4237 Louisburg Rd, STE 107, Raleigh, NC 27604. Cancellations and reschedules need at least 48 hours' notice.
